A new Arkansas law will soon bring added safety measures to school locker rooms.
Under Eli’s Law, all public school districts must install audio recording devices in locker rooms and changing areas starting in the 2027–2028 school year.
District officials say the systems are designed to detect loud disturbances or distress words like “help,” automatically alerting security to respond. Video cameras will also be placed outside those areas to monitor anyone leaving the scene of a potential incident.
