Graphic Packaging International in Cass County is teaming up with Texarkana College and the Texas Workforce Commission to boost employee training.

On Wednesday, the Workforce Commission awarded TC an $805,992 grant to provide specialized training for the mill’s workforce. College leaders say the funding supports their mission to offer high-quality, accessible training that helps workers advance.

Graphic Packaging Vice President Mark Daniel says the grant will strengthen the company by helping upskill its nearly 800 employees, keeping the mill competitive through public-private partnership.
