The Miller County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 30-year-old inmate at the Miller County Detention Center.
Authorities say Dominique Steel became sick, and the control room operator alerted medical staff. Steel was found unconscious and transported to a Texarkana hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Sheriff Wayne Easley says foul play is not suspected. Steel’s body has been sent to the state crime lab for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
