K9 Gator of Texarkana will soon receive a bullet- and stab-resistant vest, donated by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. The vest, sponsored by Nancy Graves, will be embroidered in memory of Lt. Clay McClure and is expected to arrive within ten weeks. The nonprofit has provided over 6,000 vests to K9 officers nationwide since 2009, helping protect police dogs with custom-fit, U.S.-made body armor.
