A 57-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after barricading himself inside his home and refusing to surrender to law enforcement.
The Bowie County Sheriff's Office says Henry Bintliff Pearson was wanted on a felony warrant for repeatedly violating a protective order.
Authorities say Pearson ran inside his home when officers approached him. After repeated attempts to get him to surrender failed, officers deployed tear gas, and a Texarkana Police SWAT team entered the home and took him into custody without further incident.
Pearson was booked into the Bowie County Jail on charges of repeated violation of a protective order and evading arrest. He was being held without bond. No injuries were reported.
