A Maud couple is facing multiple felony charges after Bowie County investigators found an infant and numerous animals living in what authorities described as deplorable conditions.
Thomas Wayne Pipkins, 42, and Raquel Elizabeth Marra, 26, were each charged with child endangerment and 13 counts of animal cruelty. Investigators say the home contained animal waste throughout, neglected dogs and cats, and an infant suffering from malnutrition and unsafe living conditions.
Both were booked into the Bowie County Jail. Bond was set at $310,000 each.
