Authorities say DeAnthony Price was taken into custody after a search conducted Saturday, February 21, by the 8th South Judicial Narcotics Task Force, along with the Miller County Sheriff’s Office and other agencies. The operation focused on the detention center parking lot.
Price has been charged with Furnishing Prohibited Articles, a felony under Arkansas law. He was transported to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office for holding, and his employment with the detention center has been terminated.
Bond is set at $75,000. Price is scheduled to appear in Miller County Circuit Court on March 17, 2026. Investigators say additional charges may be filed. Miller County Sheriff Wayne Easley praised the agencies involved for their work on the case.
