A unique fundraising event will take place in downtown Texarkana Saturday April 18th at noon, giving participants the chance to rappel down a high-rise building to support local children.
The “Over the Edge” event is set for Saturday, April 18, at the Regions Bank Building. Proceeds will benefit CASA and the Texarkana Children’s Advocacy Center, which serve children affected by abuse and neglect.
Participants must raise at least $1,000 to secure a spot and can take part regardless of experience level. Organizers say the event is open to people of all abilities, with a weight requirement between 100 and 300 pounds.
Volunteers are also needed to help with event operations. Community members are encouraged to attend and support participants.
Organizers say the event is about more than the thrill — it’s about providing hope, advocacy, and resources for children in need.
