The Texas Education Agency has released its 2025 A–F accountability ratings for public schools statewide, along with the delayed 2024 ratings that were tied up in court for nearly two years.
The release follows a recent court ruling, which cleared the way for both years’ results to be made public. Commissioner Mike Morath said the move restores transparency for families and communities.
In 2025, the TEA rated more than 1,200 districts and 9,000 campuses. Compared to 2024, about a quarter of districts and nearly a third of campuses improved their grades, while most stayed the same and 15% declined.
