Texarkana Approves Funding For New Pickleball Courts

Texarkana, Texas, is moving forward with major recreation upgrades after the City Council accepted a $135,000 donation from the Texarkana Pickleball Club and agreed to match it with $120,000 in hotel tax funds.

The money will be used to build new pickleball courts at the Southwest Center, which will be named “Rotary Courts” in honor of local Rotary clubs that helped fund the project.

City officials say the new courts will expand recreation options and help attract tournaments, bringing more visitors and boosting local businesses.
