A Texarkana man and his girlfriend are facing charges after an alleged escape from a prison work-release job in Hope.
Officials say 30-year-old Antarian Keatrich Wright walked away from Southern Bakeries on June 5, where he was assigned to work release. Wright, who is serving a 10-year sentence for aggravated robbery, was later captured in a wooded area off Arkansas Boulevard in Texarkana and has since been moved to the Varner Supermax Unit.
Prosecutors have charged Wright as a habitual offender, meaning he could face an additional five to 40 years in prison if convicted. His girlfriend, 36-year-old Precious Emani White, is accused of helping him and has been charged as an accomplice. She was released on a $5,000 bond.
