A 69-year-old Texarkana man is behind bars after leading police on a chase that ended with a crash through a business gate.
Wake Village Police say around 3 a.m. Sunday, officers tried to stop Willie Munn for expired tags. He first pulled over, then sped off down West 7th Street, crashing through a locked gate at Matheson Gas, causing about $3,000 in damage.
Munn was later found hiding under a metal platform and treated for a hand injury. Officers say they found a crack pipe in his pocket.
He’s charged with evading arrest and criminal mischief, and is being held in the Bowie County Jail on $20,000 bond.
