This routine maintenance helps clean pipes and improve water quality. During this time, residents may notice a stronger chlorine smell or slight discoloration, but the water remains safe to drink. TWU will flush hydrants more frequently and monitor water quality daily. Kidney dialysis patients and aquarium owners are encouraged to check with equipment suppliers.
