A Texarkana woman is facing serious charges after allegedly trying to run over her estranged husband.
Police say 41-year-old Ruthera Mariel Brown drove a black Ford Flex across the grounds of an apartment complex on West 16th Street on October 13th, chasing the man and reportedly hitting his ankle. The incident was caught on home security video, which also showed Brown’s vehicle striking a pillar, causing about $500 in damage.
Brown told officers she only chased him on foot after asking for money. She’s now charged in Bowie County with aggravated assault, a crime that carries up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
Brown remains in the Bowie County Jail on $30,000 bond, and her case has been assigned to Judge Bill Miller.
