According to Bowie County court records, 25-year-old Jaylen Deangelo Bowman and 46-year-old Cory Javon Phillips were caught after officers spotted suspicious activity behind the store around 1:30 a.m. Police say multiple suspects ran, but Bowman and Phillips were detained. Bowman reportedly had boxes of cigarettes, while Phillips had a ski mask and gloves.
Officers recovered tools, stolen tobacco products, and a car believed to be connected to the burglary. Both men remain in the Bowie County jail—Bowman on $160,000 bond and Phillips on $80,000 bond.
