The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana has announced a new scholarship program aimed at helping Arkansas students pay for their first year of college.
The Iron Horse Advantage program will launch this fall and is open to Arkansas high school seniors graduating this spring, as well as non-traditional students.
The program will cover tuition, mandatory fees, and textbook rentals for eligible students after state and federal financial aid is applied—leaving no out-of-pocket costs for the first year.
UAHT Chancellor Ricky Tompkins says the goal is to give students the financial support they need to start and continue their education.
More information is available on the university’s website and social media pages.
