A suspicious activity call from a resident helped Texarkana Texas Police quickly arrest a vehicle burglary suspect early Monday morning.
Around 4:30 a.m., a caller reported seeing a man going through vehicles in the 1000 block of West 40th Street. Officers Cody Cox and Macey Huddle, who were already nearby, soon located 28-year-old Marcarius Stroops matching the suspect's description.
Police say Stroops was found with cash, sunglasses, and a coin bag reportedly stolen from a vehicle. Officers also discovered a substance believed to be methamphetamine and learned Stroops was wanted on an Arkansas parole violation warrant.
Stroops was arrested on charges of burglary of a vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, and the outstanding warrant. He is being held at the Bi-State Jail on a $25,000 bond.
