The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana is celebrating national recognition after being named one of USA TODAY's 2026 America's Best Trade Schools.
UAHT was one of just six Arkansas schools to make the list of the nation's top 250 trade schools. Chancellor Dr. Ricky Tompkins says the honor reflects the dedication of the university's faculty, staff, students, and industry partners.
The school offers career training in fields including welding, HVAC, diesel technology, industrial maintenance, and construction, with many programs completed in a year or less. UAHT also provides hands-on career training and college credit opportunities for high school students through its technical education centers in Hope and Texarkana.
